Kim Dotcom confirms he’s building a Twitter replacement that protects free speech

Perhaps you’ve never heard of Kim Dotcom. Or perhaps you’ve only heard the controversial stuff about how New Zealand’s court of appeal recently ruled that he could be extradited to the United States to face criminal copyright and other charges. Irrespective of what you may have been told about him, one thing is sure: Kim Dotcom is passionate about making information available to the masses – unfiltered and uncensored.

As evidence of this commitment to upholding the right to free speech, Dotcom (born Kim Schmitz in West Germany) recently announced that he is building a new, uncensored social media platform in opposition to more “mainstream” platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

“It’s true and it’s going to be great,” he told True Pundit. “Make Social Media Great Again.”

Who is Kim Dotcom?

Kim Dotcom is a German-Finnish entrepreneur who shot to fame in Germany in the 1990s when he became “one of the world’s largest tech entrepreneurs.” He was the founder of the file hosting service Megaupload, and became famous over the years for his lavish lifestyle and, at one time, for being the world’s number-one-ranked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player out of more than 15 million online players.

Dotcom’s legal woes have all revolved around his commitment to the free dissemination of information. As reported by The Guardian:

The six-year legal saga is widely seen as a test for how far the United States can reach globally to apply American firms’ intellectual property rights.

U.S. authorities say Dotcom and three co-accused Megaupload executives cost film studios and record companies more than $500m and generated more than $175m by encouraging paying users to store and share copyrighted material.

A social media revolution

Kim Dotcom recently confirmed to True Pundit that he is taking this commitment to the next level by building a new social media platform that will protect its users, respect their privacy and uphold free speech.

“U.S. tech companies are selling out their users to the Deep State,” Dotcom told True Pundit. “And they engage in opinion manipulation by censorship and promotion of their political biases. They have been exposed.” (Related: SILENCE! Twitter, YouTube scrubbing all content and banning all users who question the official (false) narrative on the Florida school shooting.)

Ironically, it was the overwhelmingly positive response to a Twitter poll of his 732,000 followers that convinced Dotcom that many people are convinced that Twitter is “in bed with the deep state,” and that an alternative platform is needed.

“All it takes is a real alternative with real privacy protection and zero censorship from a trusted source and Twitter will become the next MySpace, an online ghost town,” he tweeted. (Related: Online censorship is a WAR against human knowledge and sustainable civilization.)

Of course, it is not only Twitter and Facebook that have been increasing the censorship of the information that passes through their platforms; YouTube has become infamous for doing the same thing. It is refreshing to know, then, that there is a brand-new alternative called Real.video that provides uncensored content that can be trusted. And it looks like, more alternatives to come.
