Is Obama’s highly politicized Justice Department too far gone to investigate death threats against electors?

(Freedom.news) There is a direct threat to our democratic republic and for some reason, the Justice Dept. under President Obama seems to be completely tone deaf to it.

For weeks now, reports have been surfacing that designated electors to the Electoral College who are pledged to cast ballots for Donald J. Trump, who won more than 300 electoral votes Nov. 8, are having their lives threatened by scumbags and punks working on behalf of someone who doesn’t want the Republican winner in the White House. As of this writing, no one yet knows who is actually behind these efforts – as in, who is directing and, importantly, funding them – but it seems logical to assume it may be coming from groups or organizations with ties to the Democratic Party. We’ll let you decide on whether or not you think that is a reasonable assumption.

But no matter. Electors are being threatened, and that is a direct threat to our political system. Yet no one in Obama’s Justice Dept. seems interested in finding out who’s doing it and why.

As Rush Limbaugh noted on his program earlier this week, the FBI should be neck-deep into this investigation.

“Why isn’t the FBI investigating this? I’m serious,” radio host Rush Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Wednesday. “Why isn’t the FBI investigating all of these threats, these emails, these phone calls, this intimidation effort that’s under way against these electors?”

“I know who runs the FBI. [President] Obama runs the FBI,” he continued. “But still, why isn’t somebody demanding it or calling for it? … This is the kind of stuff the left does … they laugh at it, they shrug it off, they shove it way out to the extreme, [suggesting] ‘nothing’s gonna come of this,’ and something always does.”

“Why isn’t the FBI investigating this? I’m serious,” radio host Rush Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Wednesday. “Why isn’t the FBI investigating all of these threats, these emails, these phone calls, this intimidation effort that’s under way against these electors?”

He further noted, “This is a sleazebag effort if there ever was one. These are the kind of people that need to be pounded into the ground. They need to be defeated to the point that they’re demoralized and don’t ever try this again. I’m thinking sign surrender papers on the deck of the USS Missouri.”

Earlier, Politico reported – as though this were some normal political process – that “anti-Trump forces” had launched “an attack” on the Electoral College:

Anti-Trump forces are preparing an unprecedented assault on the Electoral College, marked by a wave of lawsuits and an intensive lobbying effort aimed at persuading 37 Republican electors to vote for a candidate other than Donald Trump.

This is not okay. This is not just another political ‘option’ the loser gets to employ in order to overturn the will of the people. When Left-wing Democrats win elections they implore Republicans and conservatives to “get over it” and accept the results. And indeed, they have.

But now, when the tables are turned and their party’s candidate is beaten, and beaten soundly, under the system that we have, they want to change the rules. And they willing to threaten someone’s life to get their way.

These people are not merely annoying, they are a dangerous threat to our republic. The FBI should be tasked to investigate this promptly and when the bureau finds out who is doing this and who is financing the effort, they should be arrested and put on trial for sedition. We cannot allow this to continue.

Something Obama and his sycophantic supporters in the administration ought to consider: If you people can do this to an opposition candidate by setting the precedent, what makes you think an opposition president won’t do this to your presidential winner at some point in the future?

As for who is behind this, well, we’re not sure yet. But we have an idea, based on past behavior.
