The Obama administration, the Democratic Party and all the Left-wing power brokers in America are working overtime in their maniacal bid to defy the will of the people by denying President-elect Donald J. Trump the White House. They want to install their puppet, the wholly corrupt and compromised Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that more voters in enough states handed Trump an electoral victory.
So they’ve concocted a narrative that they are clinging to despite the fact that there is not a shred of evidence to support it: The Russians “hacked” the election to help Trump win the White House because he’s supposed to be real tight with President Vladimir Putin (even though the FBI has said it has found no connections between Trump and Putin whatsoever).
It’s a conspiracy created on behalf of the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign by the party’s propaganda wing, the “mainstream media,” to try to delegitimize Trump and help “explain” to the party’s sycophantic supporters why their vacuous, corrupt and uninspiring candidate lost the election on her own to a more dynamic, more convincing and more inspiring opponent.
It also ignores the fact that the U.S. government – up to and including the Obama administration – through its intelligence organs has a long history of propagandizing and interfering in foreign elections for real.
As reported by Public Radio International (PRI), this meddling has been taking place for decades, through various American intelligence agencies led by the CIA. Using clandestine tactics, U.S. intelligence operatives have worked to place certain foreign leaders in office who are favorable to America’s national interests.
As PRI noted, this practice dates as far back as when the CIA was in its infancy after World War II, and was seen as a vital means of containing the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Tim Weiner, an expert on clandestine national security programs and the author of two books on the topic, Enemies: A History of the FBI and Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA, has won a Pulitzer Prize for his work. He told PRI that meddling in foreign elections is nothing new for the CIA and isn’t a gray area at all.
Within months after the spy agency was created in 1947, he said, “It set out to steal the Italian election in 1948 to support the Christian Democrats who were pro-American, against the socialist Democrats, who were pro-Moscow, and they won.”
He added that this was “just the beginning of a long, long story.”
Upon being successful in Italy (which was just a few years removed from being part of the Axis alliance with Germany and Japan), the CIA used its formula – involving the use of millions of taxpayer dollars to influence campaigns – in other countries including Guatemala, South Vietnam, Indonesia, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
Indeed, he said, the leader of post-9/11 Afghanistan was President Hamid Karzai, who “was a paid CIA agent,” Weiner said.
“The list is very long, and it’s part of what the CIA does in political warfare,” he added.
Weiner noted further that the CIA is not an independent player in all of this, and that the agency does the bidding of whatever presidential administration is currently in power. If a president wants to covertly influence an election in some country he hopes to improve relations with, he’ll order the CIA into action.
Ariel Dorfman, the Walter Hines Page Professor Emeritus of Literature at Duke University, wrote in an article for CNN (we believe him, not the network news site), “The intelligence services of a foreign government meddle in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation, attempting to influence its citizens and destabilize that country’s democratic process. Russia and the United States in 2016? Or the United States and Chile in 1973?”
He noted that more than four decades ago, the U.S. Senate, via the Church Committee Report, released documents proving clandestine U.S. intelligence meddling in Chile’s elections.
As for whether or not Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee and the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, that just does not appear to be the case, no matter how many times the lamestream media shouts it. It was an inside job all the way, apparently, meaning there was no computer hacking of data, as Natural News founder/editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, reports.
To blame other countries for doing precisely what our own intelligence community has done over and over again for decades is hypocritical – but then again, that’s typical of the Left.
